Well, I officially finished all of my national board exams.....and passed every one of them! I am done!!!! I cannot even explain how good it feels to be completely finished. I got the LAST of my test results back last Monday, Finished my LAST final on Tuesday, went to DOPL to turn in everything for my R.D.H License on Wednesday and graduated with an AS Degree in Health Science and a AAS Degree in Dental Hygiene on Thursday. It was a LONG and painful ride, but I am so excited to be done!

Now that I am done, I get to have a life! Brandon and I already have a list of things we are going to accomplish now that my life doesn't resolve around the DH program! I am a Registered Dental Hygienist, and I can't wait to see what life has to offer!! Yay to the future....bring it on!

Today I took the last Dental Hygiene Board Exam that I will ever have to take (Well, at least I hope). If I passed all five exams, I will officially be a R.D.H. when I graduate in May!!! Oh my, I cannot believe I made it (it was pretty much hell going through the program, but looking back it has gone by sooooo fast)!! I am so excited to start this new chapter of my life, buy a house, actually enjoy my life, be a better wife and friend and eventually start a family!! This program has been the hardest thing I have ever done, but I wouldn’t change one bit of the last two years. I was lucky enough to go through the program with some of the most amazing girls I have ever met and I cannot imagine not seeing them everyday…..they are my family and I hope we stay apart of each other’s lives forever!! Once I am done with school I might even have time to post more….but don’t hold your breath!

About a month ago I was doing laundry and Brandon came into the laundry room with something in his hands. He asked me to guess what he caught and I told him not to scare me...his smiled and opened his hands and it was a toad (he found it on our drive way)!! I LOVED it, I asked Brand if we could keep it so we put it in a box and went to the store to buy all of the fixins for his home!! We love the little guy, he is so fun! We now have a cricket farm (we got our first shipment of 1,000 crickets and a huge bin to put them in!). Herbie is a mad skilled hunter and eats about 6-10 crickets a day! lol, I talk about him like he is a person, but we really do love the lil guy!!

Brandon, Kathy, Mike and I went on a hike to Mt Timpanogos....it was a lot of work, but so much fun! That hike really did kick my butt, and the way down was just as painful as the way up! I felt so bad for all of the people who thought it would be a good "family" outing with their little ones.... They looked miserable! So advice to all you parents...kids do not really enjoy hiking (they like little walks) and who wants to carry a kid up and down a mountain!! Wait till they are older and they can enjoy it!! That is all:) Here are some pics of our little adventure!!

Brandon and I have been trying to get in shape, so that we feel better about ourselves....Let’s just say Brandon is way ahead of me and is looking a ton better, but I am not far behind!! We have been working out and eating right and it really has made a difference!! Here are a few pics that will show what we looked like before and after(I am not going to post my swimsuit pictures until I have a six pack, or something close to it...which may be never, but I am going to try!!) I can totally tell the difference, but I will let you all judge for yourselves!! Brandon has lost about 25lbs and I have lost about 16lbs!!

I know I have not posted since.....holy cow! Last June, but hey we have been busy! I will make a goal that I can actually keep, I think....I am going to try and post once every year! Sound good? I will try to keep the typing to a minimum and just post pictures! A ton has changes since last year, and we are doing really great!

Well, to start off last June I was working at an Endo office (I had started in March) while I was on the waiting list to get into a Dental Hygiene program. I had applied at SLCC and was planning on applying at UVU and Weber. I think it was in July when I got a letter saying I was an alternate for the SLCC program and that I had a chance of getting in......finally at the beginning of August (I think) I got bumped up and got in the program! I quit my job and started school. Which by the way has been one of the hardest things I have ever done, but they say it will be worth it! I am so lucky to have Brandon by my side he is willing to help me with anything and works so hard to support us while I am going to school!

We are still living in Lehi and plan to move once I graduate and find a job, Brandon is still working for West Valley Police Department and he loves his job, which makes me love his job! We try really hard to enjoy life and enjoy each other! Here are a bunch of pictures from the last year... Enjoy!

We just got back from a two week trip to Jamaica!! It was the best trip ever and I can't wait to go again!!

So this was back in March but I have totally just avoided posting anything, because I am lazy (lets be honest). For our 2 year anniversary (well 9 if you count all the years of dating, which i do). Brandon planned a trip to Vegas...and when i say plan, i mean he came home from working a night shift and said "were going to Vegas, i found hotel rooms for 20 bucks a night!" my first reaction was, what roach motel only costs 20 bucks a night!?! But i tried not to be a diva, and i went (p.s. we went to the palace station, which by no means is a palace)....anyways back to the story. So we went, had a blast, drank, gambled, went to the Wax museum, Brandon drank some more, walked the entire strip to go to the shark reef (and when we finally got there, it had closed!), gambled, lost A LOT of money, Withdrew more money (not suggested), and on the last night after getting our buts kicked at blackjack, and the slot machines. Brandon (or as i called him that night "big daddy") won ALL our money back! We drove home, with the same amount of money that we came with (and to me that is winning!). That was our trip in a little nut shell. maybe i will post again soon, maybe not! Who knows. There are more Picture Below!

Am I Old Enough To Be a Grown Up?

This post is totally random, so feel free not to even respond I just have to get this off of my chest! Brandon and I always talk about the “future” and we are on a 5 year plan (well it’s a 5 year plan, but after each year I never lower the number and it stays a “5 year plan” in my head even thought it should be down to a 2 year plan). I just finished all my prerequisites and applied for Dental Hygiene programs, and I had a little panic attack! My future of being done with school, buying a house, having kids and all that grown up stuff is coming up and it freaked me out! I don’t know what to do I have stayed up until like 1am each night worrying about it (as if there is even a solution). I know this may sound lame to everyone else but I am terrified of growing up. I don’t know I am just panicking. Brandon is my exact opposite when it comes to stuff like this and he doesn’t worry about it at all. He actually says he is excited and can’t wait. Well I don’t feel any better now that I got this off of my chest in fact I am kind of having a hard time breathing just thinking about it! Have a good night and hopefully when the time actually comes for me to do all of these things I will be more relaxed about it!

Well nothing new is really going on. Brandon’s eye is healing pretty well, they are going to keep the stitches in for as long and they can, so it makes his eye look kind of weird. He can already see better out of his eye than what it was before. His sight should continually get better and can take up to a year, but they don’t know what it will be in the end because they don’t know how well his donor’s vision was. The doctor said it was an excellent tissue, and is hoping that Brandon won’t even need contacts or glasses anymore for that eye!
I am sure a lot of people who have been in a relationship for a long time can relate that after a while of being together you get comfortable and you stop working on how healthy you are being. Then one day you look in the mirror and cant figure out how the heck your body got to the way it is. That is kind of what Brandon and I have been going through so we wanted to start working out and eating right. I am not going to say we are going on a diet because when I think about dieting I get all sad and think about the foods I am missing out on and then I go eat all the fast food I can think of. So, we are going to change our lifestyle!
We joined the Lifetime Fitness Gym (I actually have had my membership for a long time but used him as an excuse not to go) but Brandon finally joined and I am so glad he did. If anyone gets the chance to go to this gym they really should, it seriously is so much fun to work out as a couple and the gym is amazing. Brandon is even a good sport and goes to the classes with me! So far we have done a spin class and the kickboxing class, they both kicked our asses but it was a lot of fun. Brandon also found out that they teach a 7 week ballroom dance class for couples that we are thinking about doing. So far it has been a really fun thing to do together and I hope we stick to it and go as often as we can.
We took “Before” pictures of each other in our bathing suites and I was going to post them but after seeing what I looked like, I decided we are going to wait till we have the after pictures! I hope we stick to our new healthy lifestyle!

First I just want to wish every one a happy New Year! I hope everything went well for everyone this past year and i hope all goes good in 2009! Now for the update on New Years Eve Brandon is getting a Cornea transplant. I don’t know a lot about it (other than the pamphlets the doctors have given us and what I have googled) and we are a little nervous. I was wondering if anyone knows someone who has had this procedure, and just wanted to know a little bit about what it was like and if they are happy with the results. Please let me know because the pictures I googled kind of freaked me out!

The Last of my Christmas Craftiness

I came up with the idea of a memory christmas tree skirt. It doesnt look like much now, but i am going to quilt a bunch of squares onto the white part of the skirt, and then each year i am going to iron on a picture of us christmas morning. So by the time i am 50 years old the idea is that it will be covered with pictures of every christmas morning that we have ever had together and the we can look at how much we have changed each year. I think it is a fun way to put memories on something that i will have forever. I hope it turns out, and that i keep up on it!

This post if for Rachel, this is how my "JOY" turned out. I didn't put the leaves or the bells on because i didn't have glue, and i was afraid it would look cheesy. I thought it turned out cute, although i could not find the gel stain you were talking about and the workers at Michael's looked at me like i was crazy when i asked for it. So i ended up using an antiquing stain (I think it was the same thing, but it made the white parts on the "O" a little to dark so I had to re-paint it). Anyways love ya! Thanks for your help!

I Love Christmas!!!

We bought a real Christmas tree! We figured since we live in a log cabin, we should do the real thing. I am so glad we did it turned out great and smells so yummy! It is kind of a pain to have to water it every day though! I have also gotten very crafty! I made a bunch of the ornaments on the tree and the bow at the top (thanks to Rachel for helping me pick out the ribbon and stuff!). I also decided to make my own Christmas trees skirt(which is not the cheaper route to go). It is not done yet but i will put pictures up as soon as I'm done! Then I made us stockings and I am stenciling our names on them.

The Worst Week Ever!!!

WTF, I have had the worst week ever! Or I guess I can say the “crappiest” week ever (literally)!
I will start at the beginning…….Starting two weeks ago, there was a funky smell in my house. I cleaned the whole house from top to bottom, but still could smell the smell. The next step was blaming the smell on my two dogs (our boxer, and our 12 year old dog buddy who really does stink, so it was valid) so the dogs got bathed, the carpets got shampooed; we cleaned the dog beds and even the couches.
The smell was still there! But now it was getting worse! We continually cleaned the house for about a week searching for the source of the smell .Then last Sunday the 16th I was on a mission to track it down, the smell that had now turned into a poop smell!
Finally Sunday in the middle of the day I realized the smell was coming from our crawl space ( we do not have a basement, and there is basically a 4 foot space under our whole house that has dirt floors, and is where our water heater and furnace is, I know it sounds creepy, but hey we live for free!) . So once I decided that it was for sure coming from down in the creepy hole, I called Brandon and told him we must have a dead animal or something down there and that when he gets home from work he would need to check it out (because there was no way in hell that I was going to go down there).
So, he gets home at about 10:30pm and gets down in the crawl space. First let me just tell you when he opened the door to go down there, it was the worst smell that I have ever smelt, kind of like those nasty bathrooms up in the canyon when you go camping, but worse! As he was down in the hole looking around, and standing in what we thought was mud because it was all wet down there. We realized the smell was our crap, literally and Brandon was standing in it! We started freaking out and called our boss to tell him what was going on, and he assured us that this would get fixed and everything would be taken care of. The smell was so bad we had to have an emergency hazmat crew come clean it out!
Now, to update you one week and one day later, the smell is gone (well kind of) and we still cannot use our plumbing! Meaning no cooking, because we can’t wash the dishes (so take out is what we eat) If I want to shower I have to run next door or go over to my parents house (so I have gone without showers some days). And if I have to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, too bad I hold it! My bladder is going to have major problems!
The plumber told me today that we should be able to have plumbing by tomorrow, but he is not sure where the problem is coming from yet. I am not a plumber so I just say “okay” but I am really thinking WTF, tomorrow, I have not had a nice shower or a relaxing bath for a week! But there is nothing I can do! I now personally despise plumbers! At least the company I am working with, they have just avoided us, lied and have really done nothing until today!
So that is the end of my crappy story (as of today) and I just wanted to vent for a bit and let everyone know that if they think there week has been shitty, I'm sure mine has been worse!
Sorry about the novel I just wrote, but there was really no other way to explain it without explaining it all!!

Well I am so sad October is over! Our month was pretty packed and toward the end of it it got even more hectic! The day before Halloween Brandon had to get surgery, so needless to say we did not do much of anything on Halloween. So i made the best of it and got a bunch of scary movies, and bought a ton of candy to hand out to trick-or-treaters. Well we didn't watch one movie, Brand just wanted to sleep. And we did not get one trick-or-treater. I was so bumbed out! So i don't have any pictures of Halloween, and i am stuck with a crap load of candy! Here is a picture of Brandon right before his surgery, the doctor thought a was a little crazy ( but i think i was just capturing a memory). Oh and he would not smile, so that is why is making that face. I guess he agreed with the doctor (I'm a little crazy).

Here are the pumpkin's we carved, I carved the witch and Brandon Carved the Werewolf and the Dracula. He stayed up till 1am the night before his surgery to finish them. He was very proud of himself. I think they turned out pretty good considering he drew the pictures on the pumpkins by hand (i did not know the kid was artistic at all).

So for my 25th birthday, Brandon took me on a surprise weekend. He made me breakfast and then told me to pack a bag for overnight. He took me for a drive to park city and we went to the Canyons resort. I figured we were just checking in, but he didn't take me to the front desk. Instead we went to the day spa inside the hotel and he got us a couples retreat spa day! It was sooo much fun! They gave us robes and flip flops and we just relaxed in the sauna and steam rooms until it was time for our appointment. Once it was time, they took us to a room where there was a huge bathtub full with water and bubbles and candles lit all over, and two massage tables. We took a romantic bathtub and then we got couples massages. It was so much fun! Then after our massages we checked into the hotel and ordered room service. The next day he took me shopping, and out to a nice dinner. I was so surprised (which, never happens because I am a snoop) and it reminded me how lucky I am to have him.

Spiders!!

So on my birthday, we found a big white and orange spider hanging outside of our front door it's body was at least the size of a quarter and with it's legs spread out it was huge! Brandon hates spiders and I told him to leave it alone because I had looked it up and it was not poisonous, but before I knew it he had sprayed it with hornet killer and killed it. When I looked it up online it also said there should be a Female spider near by, but we couldn't find one. Well two days ago I opened our front door and on the bottom of the door jam I found this spider. This is the female (I think) and I caught it and took pictures next to a quarter so you will belive me. This one is half the size of the first one! Its a little freaky (its called an Orb Weaver, and they are not poisonous).

Okay, I was watching What Not To Wear one day the the girl that was being made over had a totally cute hair cut! She had the same round chubby face that I have so I thought I could pull it off! I cut about 3 inches off (I think, Maybe it seems like more that it was) and also decided to do bangs!!! What the hell! Where were my friends when i needed someone to tell me NO! This was not a good idea and I have been pretty much pinning them back ever since. They were too short to sweep to the side and they made my face look even more round than it was before (if that is even possible!) Today was a bad bang day so I decided I would complain about it to you! Here is the cutest picture I have of me with them, so just know it is totally worse that it looks! Never again!!!

Well, I am not very good at this whole blogging thing but I am going to really try . It seems like a lot has been going on but I don't know where to start. So here it goes... At the beginning of the summer Brandon and I took a road trip to San Diego with my sister and her husband. We went to the beach, Sea World, San Diego Zoo, Wild Life Adventure Park (which by the way is way over rated and I would definitely not take your kids if you have any! Too much walking for a vacation if ya ask me!) and we also went to a couple Padres Baseball games! It was a lot of fun and I cant wait to go again!

I saw this picture of us snorkeling and it made me Laugh! This was right after we went sky diving, we stopped on North Shore for some shaved Ice and we found a little cove to go snorkeling...and Brandon was totally afraid of it! he kept freaking out saying he was going to drown, and i couldn't stop laughing because we had just finished jumping out of an airplane and he though that was fun, but snorkeling scared the crap out of him! He finally got the hang of it and we spent hours out in that cove!

We went on our honeymoon to Hawaii, and it was soooo much fun! I cant believe how beautiful it is there! I have never been somewhere like that and I have to say i didn't want to leave. We were there for about two weeks and while we were there we went snorkeling, Site seeing and................. Skydiving!! It was Crazy and I totally planned it as a surprise for Brandon (I don't know if i would dare to do it again, but it was so much fun!) and he had a blast!

Brandon & I have been together for almost 8 years! We got married on our 7 year anniversary (March 17, 2007), and our wedding was the best day ever! Brandon is currently a Police officer for West Valley City and he loves every minute of it (and I have to say he looks dang cute in his little uniform)! I am going to school full time (finally) and I am looking forward to finishing. We live in a house in Lehi, and have one dog Izzy, and she is very spoiled. We love to travel and try new things.
